Counsellor and Facilitator
Jo-Anne feels passionately about helping others discover their own individual gifts on their particular life journey.
She always works with what's alive in the room in the present moment. She is known in the field for her unique ability to bring the client's awareness to their body and to their nervous system so that the client can awaken their own dormant intuitions and live by them. Although she believes in the importance of our early beginnings, she focuses her practice equally on the relational dynamics that we are presently engaged with.
She has gone through the process of psychotherapy herself and has chosen to devote her life's work to this reflective process. Her empathic approach encompasses embodied psychodynamic models as well as brief therapy practices.

In her work she strives to address all aspects of the person's humanness: the mind, the body, the spirit and the environment. As she engages with her clients she often uses the sensations and feelings in their body to help them bypass their rational mind and unearth deeper feelings and passions.
She creates a safe and confidential environment for her clients to allow them to reach a deeper understanding of themselves and of others. Working from the knowledge that it is often our early obstacles and our present blocks that are the most painful and problematic in our human world, Jo-Anne helps her clients come to their inner selves and live with greater purpose. This shift opens them more to themselves, to others and to their community.
Jo-Anne strives to bring each person to a place where they can breathe, laugh again and feel pleasure in their bodies.
For clients who are unable to attend in person Jo-Anne also offers telephone sessions and/or Skype sessions.
